Switzerland updates sanctions in connection with the situation in Ukraine
On 1 November 2023, the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER) amended Annex 8 of the Swiss Ordinance on Measures in Connection with the Situation in Ukraine. The entries of 181 natural persons and 43 organisations were changed. The new measures entered into force on 2 November 2022 at 6 p.m.
Furthermore, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) declared the subsequent day, on 3 November 2023, that going forward, all sanctions-related information concerning the Ukraine situation will be presented in an entirely new format. The XML complete lists of sanctioned persons, companies, and organisations, in addition to the XML files of the amendments to the ordinance’s annexes, will be made available in a new format beginning on 6 December 2023.
