“The protection of the environment as a challenge for the law”

The 2. Rechtsvergleichendes Symposium 2024 of the Faculty of Law of the Private University in the Principality of Liechtenstein (UFL) is dedicated to the very current topic of environmental protection and focuses on the challenges for law at the international and national level.

The protection of the environment affects all areas of law: international law, EU and EEA law, public law, criminal law, private and commercial law, compliance and corporate responsibility. The principles of environmental law are applied in all of these areas of law. Rules and regulations must be defined in order to establish environmental protection standards and to deal with environmental problems.

The purpose of the symposium is to gain further insights in the discourse between science and practice in order to identify possible research perspectives and develop approaches to solutions.
