Navigating Competition Law Challenges in Emerging Markets: “Competitive Intelligence” and “Economic Dependence” – Tuesday, 29 October 2024 at 5:00pm in Zurich
Speaker: İ. Fatih Yeter, Regional General Counsel and Compliance Advisor Region Emerging Markets at BSH Home Appliances Group.
This session will explore the critical role of competition compliance in collecting competitive intelligence and the prevention of economic dependence abuse within Emerging Markets. Drawing from cross-border experiences in various countries across in Middle East, Africa and Asia, we will highlight certain practices that ensure compliance with the applicable competition frameworks. Attendees will gain insights into how businesses can gather and utilize market intelligence responsibly while avoiding anti-competitive behaviors. We will also discuss strategies to comply with local regulations, focusing on the concept of “economic dependency” in relationships between global companies and local distributors, across diverse regions.
