Our History

Ethics and Compliance Switzerland (ECS) is an independent not for profit organization that was founded in 2014 in Berne, Switzerland and has since played an important role in promoting the development of ethics and compliance community across all sectors and organisations in Switzerland. It is the first NGO in Switzerland connecting private and public sector organisations and their officers. We also contribute to establishing and sharing of compliance best practices.

ECS resulted from the National Compliance Round Table (NCRT) initiative and the two national cross-organisational round table meetings September 5, 2013 and January 30, 2014

The Board Members elected at the Inaugural Meeting were: Paolo Bernasconi, Chair, Daniel L. Bühr, Vice Chair, Gemma Aiolfi, Arndt Harbecke, Roman Mazzotta, Claudia Seitz and Gabe Shawn Varges.
