8th Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption hold in Abu Dhabi on 16-20 December 2019
The Conference of the States Parties (COSP) is the main policy-making body of the United Nations Convention against Corruption. It supports States parties and signatories in their implementation of the Convention, and gives policy guidance to UNODC to develop and implement anti-corruption activities.
The COSP was established (i) to improve the capacity of States to implement the Convention, (ii) to enhance cooperation among States in achieving the objectives of the Convention and
(iii) to promote and review the implementation of the Convention. The COSP meets every two years and adopts resolutions and decisions in furtherance of its mandate. The protocols, reports and notes of the conference are now available in several languages.
